En 1981, vingt-cinq familles israéliennes fondent le moshav Shekef, un village agricole coopératif.  De part et d' autre de la frontière d' avant juin 1967 le moshav et le village se font face. Au début, les habitants du moshav travaillent eux même la terre, mais très vite ils font appel aux jeunes gens du village voisin. En 1988, au début de l'intifada, un des membres du moshav est assassiné. Du jour au lendemain, les jeunes travailleurs palestiniens sont renvoyés du moshav.  Le film raconte l' histoire

d' une relation triangulaire dans un lieu -makom- autour du travail -avoda-.

In 1981, twenty five Israeli families set up moshav Shekef - a village turned into a farming cooperative.  On both sides of the border before June 1967,  the moshav and the village were opposite each other. At the beginning, the inhabitants of moshav worked the land themselves but they soon called on the service of the young people in the neighbouring village. In 1988 at the beginning of intifada one of the members of moshav was murdered. The next day the young Palestinian workers were      dismissed from moshav. The film tells the stroy of a three-sided relationship in a place - makom - revolving around work - avoda.
